Limehouse Lizzy News
Meet Lizzy & Sidney...      15th September 2007, 1:18pm

On Sunday 16th at 9 am (what?) Sky TVs Open Access (Channel 883) are showing Thin Lizzys amazing Sydney concert that shook the Harbour Bridge, filmed on the steps of the Opera House. Awesome! Theyre not wrong neither, the energy of this gig was amazing. Featuring an almost splinter version of the usual Lizzy lineup, with Gary Moore in blistering form on lead guitar and Mark Nauseef more than capably filling in for an exhausted Brian Downey on drums the boys blaze their way through all the classics. For those of you who keep asking us where you can find live footage of Lizzy performing our adopted anthem Me & The Boys, this is it! If, like us, you cant get up to watch it, or dont already have it on DVD, dont forget to set record...

Bells Well...      13th August 2007, 10:10am

ERIC BELL: we were all very pleased to meet original Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell, when he came down to see our show at the Standard in Walthamstow. He played on the first three Thin Lizzy albums, and their most successful single Whisky in the Jar“. The whole band got a chance to meet Eric after the gig and say hi - what a lovely bloke, and what a brilliant guitarist. Check his new band out at www.ericbellband.com

STOP PRESS - NEW YEARS EVE: after the usual brilliant night over at the Limelight Club in Crewe - completely sold out, totallly bonkers, grown men with their shirts off, inflatable guitars, wigs, bars drunk dry, and a full house singing Whisky in the Jar“ for us at the end - we are pleased to announce that we will be playing the New Years Eve bash there. Whilst it may seem a tad early to announce this now, regulars will know that ticket-wise, forewarned is forearmed. You have been warned…

COXS DRY BAR...the bad news was as you already know, Coxs Yard in Stratford upon Avon was cancelled due to the floods; the good news is this date has now been re-scheduled for the 15th November 2007

MILKING COWES...headlined at Cowes week on Monday night (any excuse to get over to the Isle of Wight - what a great place!). Amongst the sponsors was Mumm Champagne, resulting in the place heaving with people who were partying hard! We played outdoors at night, and put on a full pyro/backrop display on the main stage in the harbour, much to the surprise of all passing ships…We are back on the Isle of Wight on the 29th September at the Ryde Theatre, see you there!

EMERALD...finally we have just confirmed some dates in Ireland in October, visiting Dublin, Waterford (will the floor hold out!?) and Cork. They are all in our Tour Dates page. Christmas dates are being finalised as we speak, and will be posted ASAP

Weight-ing For An Alibi...      9th August 2007, 8:27am

Wayne has torn a muscle in the front of his right shoulder, whilst weight training. He made it through the Cowes Week festival on the Isle Of Wight before getting home to see his GP to be diagnosed, after an agonising night. He is currently undergoing a course of treatment with none other than Ricky Hattons physio, top sports consultant and ex-bodybuilding champion, Stuart Cosgrove. Stuart reckons 3 weeks intensive therapy will be needed before he can decide whether or not surgery will be required. Whilst Wayne can fulfil current gig obligations, surgery could put him out of action for up to a month. Watch this space for further news...

Harratts on tour, Ireland and Tee shirts...      4th August 2007, 8:49am
Dave Mills, the MD of our sponsor company, the giant Harratts Mitsubishi group (see the onedealer link at the top of the page) has finally given in to the call of the stage! He has put together his own band, TELOS, and will be seen filling one or two guest spots on the Yorkshire leg of this years Limehouse tour dates in the fall. Watch this space for more details!...thanks to the stamping of Irish feet (Riverdance, anybody?) dates in Ireland are now confirmed for October of this year and January 2008. Details to follow...due to overwhelming demand, a limited amount (and we mean LIMITED!) of fabulous Thin Lizzy tee shirts will be released imminently on our merchandise page. We have struggled with merchandise in the past, purely because we wanted to bring you something that little bit more special and of better quality - these fit the bill! We have been allowed only 60 of these shirts at the moment, as they are fully licensed and the distributor has to get permission from the licensee for quantities. They will be available from our merchandise page from the 8th of August. Expect a queue...
Welcome from The Boys!      16th July 2007, 8:51am

An official welcome is extended to all Limehouse friends both new and old! As you will notice, this new website isn’t quite complete yet but the boys have been so long without an internet interface with Lizzy fans, they were anxious to push things along, ready or not! However, for the time being you can check out what’s happening in the ‘News’ section and see when Limehouse hit your town in ‘Tour Dates’ Anyone wishing to book the band can now contact them directly via the ‘Book The Band’ section and of course, we urge you to leave your thoughts, views and wishes via the ‘Guestbook’. Keep checking the site regularly, as changes will be happening week by week. ‘Til the next time….watch this space!

Unfortunately, due to the severe flooding over the last few days, our gig at Coxs Yard on 27th July 2007 is now CANCELLED.

This date has now been rescheduled for 15th November 2007. All tickets for the cancelled date will be honoured, and there are some tickets still available from the venue.

The venue are determined that the show must go on! They aim to re-open in about 3 weeks time. For more up to date news visit...
